Wisconsin is taking part in another National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on April 26, 2014. Wisconsin residents will be able to discard their unused, expired and unwanted prescription drugs.
Police departments across Wisconsin will serve as collection points. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s website will offer a list of participating agencies. Reportedly, at the last take-back collection, the State of Wisconsin collected more than 19 tons of drugs.
Help reduce drug abuse! Prescription painkiller addiction can lead to other harmful and dangerous addictions, such as opiates and heroin use. Safe removal and disposal of unused painkillers greatly reduces the probability of misuse, abuse, theft and dealing.
